3月5日，第十三屆全國(guó)人民代表大會(huì)第五次會(huì)議開幕，國(guó)務(wù)院總理李克強(qiáng)向大會(huì)作政府工作報(bào)告。李克強(qiáng)在政府工作報(bào)告中提出了今年發(fā)展主要預(yù)期目標(biāo)，其中包括國(guó)內(nèi)生產(chǎn)總值增長(zhǎng)5.5%左右，城鎮(zhèn)新增就業(yè)1100萬人以上，糧食產(chǎn)量保持在1.3萬億斤以上等。

China has set its economic growth target at around 5.5 percent in 2022.The GDPtarget is one of the key development goals laid out in a government work report delivered by Premier LiKeqiangto the national legislature, which began its annual session on Saturday.The other main projected targets for development this year include creating over 11 million new urban jobsandkeeping grain output of over 650 milliontonnes.

經(jīng)濟(jì)增速預(yù)期目標(biāo)的設(shè)定，主要考慮穩(wěn)就業(yè)保民生防風(fēng)險(xiǎn)的需要，并同近兩年平均經(jīng)濟(jì)增速以及“十四五”規(guī)劃目標(biāo)要求相銜接。這是高基數(shù)上的中高速增長(zhǎng)，體現(xiàn)了主動(dòng)作為，需要付出艱苦努力才能實(shí)現(xiàn)。

As I have said many times, we should never grow the economy at the cost of resource depletion and environmental degradation, which is like draining a pond to get fish; nor should we sacrifice growth to protect the environment, which is like climbing a tree to catch fish. Guided by our philosophy that clean waters and green mountains are just as valuable as gold and silver, China has carried out holistic conservation and systematic governance of its mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts. We do everything we can to conserve the ecological system, intensify pollution prevention and control, and improve the living and working environment for our people.
